I've never seen a banana in a vintage still life, and it is a revelation. The frame compliments the piece so beautifully.

Velvet trim within the gilded frame. Painting is an oil on stretched canvas. Would be perfect in a kitchen.

The canvas is Creme and has been nailed into the canvas framing from what I can tell. If I were to guess, I would say it's eta would be around the 1940s. It is a quality painting regardless.
