This is a nice antique old American portrait oil painting (see photos). The painting is an original hand painted antique American portrait oil on canvas of a young reddish brown haired girl (see photos).

The painting is antique (see photos). The painting is framed in an ornate wood and gesso picture frame (see photos). The picture frame has the label of: Wunderley Bros Fine Art Dealers of Pittsburgh, PA - attached to the back side (see photos). The painting does not look to be signed by the artist, but There are dark area on the painting where it could possibly be signed (see photos). The painting is from the USA, and it is American in origin.

The painting in total framed measures about 35 inches high, and it is about 30 inches wide. The painting portion on the stretcher without the picture frame measures about 27 inches wide, and it is about 22 inches wide. The painting is framed under glass. There is glare and there are reflections coming off of the glass that is visible in the photos.

The frame is made of wood and applied gesso elements. The picture frame has losses. More losses are likely to occur in transit (gesso dries out over time as does the glues which are used to attach it to the wooden picture frame). The painting has chips to the paint, inpainting repairs to the painting, paint losses, cracking to the painting and/or canvas ad other signs of wear and loss (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).

The frame and the painting are both in need of restoration and/or repairs. This is a nice antique Americana portrait oil painting with labels showing it to have been in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. A wonderful child portrait painting to add to your collection.
