Mt. Kearsarge Antique/Vintage Oil Painting Sunapee, NH Area by HH Howe
This is a gorgeous vintage oil painting of 3,000 ft. Kearsarge found in Warner, NH which is located approx. 1890's - 1950's.
It is believed by many "HH Howe" & T. Bailey signatures on many of his paintings in order that he not flood the Boston area with paintings signed by his real name - in truth, this painting looks very similar in style to the large Mt. Kearsarge oil painting was painted by Paskell using the signature of "HH Howe". The painting itself is in very good vintage / antique condition & measures a generous 27" x 36" sight size canvas - it does not come with a frame as this is the way in which I bought the painting - it has a hanging wire on the reverse of the painting as the prior owner obviously hung the painting on his wall without a frame - note that on the top wooden stretcher on the reverse of the painting, the artist wrote Mt.
