Large Antique Vladimir Pavlosky Framed Oil on Canvas Painting Rockport Cape Ann. The original frame measures 29 1/2" x 34 1/2" and the canvas on wood stretcher is 25 x 30. The painting is signed lower left V Pavlosky that is hard to read clearly but I guarantee it is signed and is a genuine Vladimir Pavlosky early 20th century era. For this artist this is very desirable subject matter showing seascape coastal scene Rockport or Gloucester Mass.

Also, it is a larger size painting than most by this artist. I acquired it from a very well known and beloved antique and art dealer from the South Shore MA Boston area, they had owned it for many years. One of the more important oil paintings we have ever listed.

It will need restorations - there are 4 small tears in the canvas and 1 small wear spot not torn but no canvas pieces are missing; the canvas needs to be professionally cleaned and I would recommend having it relined. The original carved wood frame has wear to the finish but is still solid and sturdy. Please see my 12 detailed photos.

Vladimir Pavlosky was an artist by family tradition, born into a long line of Russian interior decorators skilled in painting, gilding and carving.
