This is a phenomenal large original antique 19 century oil painting on canvas depicting a rural landscape and genre scene - in the foreground we can see a man driving a cart with horses. There are large logs on the cart. A woman sits on top of these logs with a baby in her arms, apparently his wife. A dog is running around. In the background we can see a large farmhouse, cows are grazing on the other side of the stream. This is a high quality painting, the colors have not faded over time, the picture is very detailed. Looks gorgeous in ornate gold frame. The frame has one missing part of ornament in the middle left.

The painting has one small scratch with partial loss of paint (in the middle, just above the black horse's head). Signed in the lower left corner, but difficult to read.
