Today I have for you a beautiful early 1800's oil on canvas unframed portrait of a young lady/woman with a beautiful lace collar cuffs at the end of the sleeves, she lovely gold earrings on along with a gold broach and a gold ring on her finger. There seems to have been a restoration years ago, I noticed some in-painting in one area to the right along with visible canvas repairs on the backside of the canvas, there's the normal crackle of the paint but everything seems to be tight / no loose paint or flaking, it's on the original early wood stretcher, the canvas isn't as tight as it should be /was when the artist executed this painting. There's of course discoloration/staining on the backside of the canvas, there's some dark spots that from a distance looks like mould but it's not especially when you see it up close. The detail /how they painted the lace on the cuffs looks so very delicate, even the color of her lips look real, all in the I believe this artist that executed this painting had some talent..
this is a beautiful painting overall and would look even better in appropriate frame that would accent/compliment the beauty of this young woman/lady. Please look at all photos I do my best at trying to point to things out in my description but please look at the photos I've provided and feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Thank you for stopping by and taking a look?
