One of them on the left seems to be play the harp or the lyre. Signed Schenck pixyt" and dated "1859 lower left. Dimensions: 28.5 x 64.5 cm - Painter of landscapes and animals, Écouen school.

This distinguished artist studied in particular with Léon Cogniet, at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. He made several trips to England and Portugal. He came to settle in Ecouen, where he ended his career. We see him debut at the Salon in 1857 and obtain a medal there in 1865.
