This is a fantastic and finely rendered Antique Old Early Soviet Russian Troika Socialist Realism Oil Painting on canvas, depicting several groups of people sledding through the snow-covered tundra. Small snowcapped huts are visible in the distance, and in the lower right of the scene an alarmed dog is chasing the sleds and barking.
Happy women in babushkas smile at the viewer from their sled. In the lower left corner.
This is clearly by the hand of a famous Russian painter, but unfortunately, I cannot decipher the initials. Perhaps you know more about the artist or their work? Approximately 22 x 32 inches.Good condition for nearly 100 years of age, with mild edge wear, light pressure marks to the canvas, and some mild spots of nicotine residue to the right edge of the painting please see photos.
