This is an enchanting and vibrant Antique Old California Impressionist Landscape Oil Painting on canvas, depicting a mountainous landscape scene, in what is likely Northern California. Icy blue mountain peaks can be seen in the far distance, while lavender blue lake waters gleam under the sunlight. A herd of wild cattle are visible drinking from these waters, and lush and colorful foliage frames the edges of the scene. Signed: "Jamie Tompkins" in the lower right corner.

Additionally, this work is signed and dated on the top stretcher bar of the verso: Jamie Tompkins (Illegible)... Approximately 23 1/2 x 29 1/2 inches including frame. Actual artwork is approximately 18 x 24 inches. Very good condition for age, with some light craquelure to the canvas, and a few light scuffs to the original period gilded frame please see photos.
