Up for sale is a phenomenal antique Dutch school original large oil painting on canvas depicting a seascape - several sailboats on the high seas close to the coast and a boat with fishermen or sailors. Signed in a lower-right corner Alexander Matthew (or Matthey) and dated 1869. Condition: Stable craquelure due to age.

Some minor overpainted spots, paint losses and scratches. The antique frame was repainted gold.
